Pediatric Registered Nurse
Tammy Judson was a three sport athlete in High School, where she was elected as captain in all three sports. Recognition for her athletic ability extended beyond her peers as she was named All-State in Gymnastics and All-Conference in Softball. She continued her athletic career playing softball at the University of Saint Joseph. As she grew older she maintained her athletic ability with working out, running races and doing mud runs. She got her Nursing Degree at St. Francis and has been a pediatric nurse for over 25 years. She has been happily married for 20 years (and counting) and has 5 beautiful children with her husband, Steve. In 2009, Tammy was introduced to CrossFit by a bootcamp instructor and immediately saw drastic improvements in her physical and emotional health. She quickly noticed that it was difficult for other married couples with children to set aside time for their own health and fitness, and she wanted to do something to help families accomplish this. CrossFit Unlimited Potential is Tammy’s outlet for giving back to the community. She has created a family-oriented and child-friendly environment where families can lead healthier, longer lives. Jason Viens | CrossFit L2 | Head Coach | Gym Manager
Qualifications
CrossFit Level 1
CrossFit Level 2
USAW
Aerobic Capacity
Jason started CrossFit in 2017 and obtained his CrossFit L1 certification in November 2017. He also completed his Level 1 coaching certificate for USAW weightlifting in 2019. A competitive Master’s athlete, Jason qualified for the Master’s 40-44 division at Wodapalooza which was held in Miami Florida in February 2020. Prior to starting his CrossFit journey he was an avid bodybuilder. Fitness wasn’t always a priority for him. In fact, before 2010, Jason led a very different lifestyle. A union ironworker by trade, Jason was overweight and smoked at least a pack of cigarettes a day. A family weight loss bet before a vacation in 2010 spurred him to make some changes. He began to research how to change his diet to include healthy choices that he could sustain long term. From there he stopped smoking and introduced bodybuilding into his exercise routine. These changes, along with the changes in how he felt physically and mentally, started his passion for fitness. In 2017, his son started a Ninja class which was being held in a local CrossFit gym. The owner of the gym convinced Jason to give CrossFit a try. He was hooked after day 1. After obtaining his certification, Jason coached at a local CrossFit gym for the past 3 ½ years. He truly enjoys establishing relationships with his athletes and helping them on their own fitness journey. Jason lives in Higganum with his wife, Becky and two children Ally, 20, and Toby 17. He is looking forward to continuing his journey with the Crossfit Unlimitied Potential family.

Becky Viens | CrossFit L1
Qualifications:
CrossFit Level 1
Becky started her fitness journey in late 2017. Reluctant to try CrossFit at first, she joined the “Bootcamp” class at the local CrossFit Gym where her husband worked out and coached. After building her confidence while working with great coaches, she decided to give CrossFit a try. She quickly fell in love with the sport and hasn’t looked back since. Becky joined the CFUP family in 2021 and immediately loved the supportive atmosphere of the gym and its members. She received her L1 in 2023. One of the things that she loves most about CrossFit is its strong sense of community and how it is infinitely scalable for all athletes. As a coach, she works hard to help athletes feel welcomed, empowered and successful on their own fitness journey. Becky has been an elementary school teacher at Killingworth Elementary School for 22 years. She lives in Higganum with her husband Jason and children Allyson, 20, and Toby, 17.
Ashly Vallera | CrossFit L2

CrossFit Level 2
Ashly Vallera had been a competitive athlete all her life, playing three sports in high school then joining the blue devil track and field team for her collegiate sporting career. While she was more of a thrower; hammer, discuss, and javelin, her love for running began here.
An avid marathon runner, Ashly decided to give CrossFit a try and as in her competitive nature, was instantly hooked. Given an opportunity to get her L1 in 2018 while on maternity leave with her daughter, Ashly jumped at the chance.
A high school history teacher here in town, Ashly loves being an integral part of this community both in and out of the classroom. She has had the opportunity to raise her daughter in the gym with her CrossFit families and Mia, the light of her life, is a common fixture at CFUP as well.
